The Shopify app for Pakistani COD stores
Kaarobar is a Shopify app first. It installs from the App Store, bills through your existing Shopify invoice, and runs inside the Shopify admin — no separate account to create and no data to export.
Setup: three steps, no CSV
- Install from the Shopify App Store. Shopify shows the permissions Kaarobar asks for (orders, products and inventory, fulfilments and reports) and you approve them. There is no separate sign-up.
- Connect your courier. Paste the API key or credentials from your courier's merchant portal into Kaarobar's Connect page. For PostEx that is the API token in the merchant portal; see the PostEx and Trax pages for where each courier keeps it.
- Let the first sync run. Orders, products and costs come in from Shopify, parcels come in from the courier, and the two are matched by tracking number. The dashboard fills in on its own.
Most of the work is the first sync. After that Kaarobar keeps itself current in the background.
What comes in from Shopify
- Orders and line items, including history well beyond Shopify's usual 60-day window (Shopify granted Kaarobar full order-history access), so your first profit figure covers months of real trading.
- Cost per item, which is what makes a margin a margin. Products without one are listed, never assumed to be free.
- Customers, matched across phone, email and address so one person ordering three ways is one person with one RTO history.
- Inventory, valued at cost with cover in days.
- Storefront sessions and conversion, from Shopify's own analytics, for conversion insights.
The sync is incremental and additive. It brings new and changed records forward and does not drop what it has already learned, so a courier outage or an API hiccup costs you a delay rather than a hole in the history.
What goes back to Shopify
Your Shopify order list should say what actually happened to the parcel. Kaarobar writes these back:

Payment tags need the courier's settlement data, which Kaarobar reads for PostEx and Trax. An order with several parcels is only Payment Settled when every COD parcel on it has been paid.
- Tags are written as a diff, only what changed, so Kaarobar never stamps over tags another app or a person put there.
- Returns are matched by tracking number, never by "the latest fulfilment", so a second parcel on the same order isn't touched by mistake.
Write-back applies going forward. Kaarobar does not retroactively rewrite the status of orders that closed before you connected. Your history is read and analysed; it is not edited.
Built for how Pakistani stores run Shopify
Most profit apps for Shopify assume the customer paid at checkout. A Pakistani COD store earns only when the parcel is delivered and the courier pays, pays twice in freight when it comes back, and has 4% withheld from COD before the money arrives. - Does it work on the Shopify Basic plan?
- Yes. Kaarobar is built for stores on Basic and up. Some Shopify data — customer personal information, and storefront analytics — is gated by Shopify itself, and the app tells you plainly when that is what you are hitting rather than pretending the feature is broken.
- How long does setup take?
- Install from the App Store, connect your courier account, and the sync runs on its own. No CSV imports, no spreadsheet templates, no onboarding call.
- Will Kaarobar change my existing orders?
- Only going forward. It reads your history to calculate profit, but it doesn't rewrite the status or tags of orders that closed before you installed.
- Does it replace my other Shopify apps?
- No. Tags are written as a diff, so tags from other apps or your team are left alone. Kaarobar only adds and removes its own tags: delivery, payment and return tags, plus confirmed or cancelled tags if you use WhatsApp order confirmation.
- How is it billed?
- Through Shopify, on your existing invoice, and cancellable from inside the app. There is a free plan; see pricing for the paid tiers.
