Built in Lahore, for the way Pakistan actually sells
Kaarobar is made by Remap Media in Lahore. It exists because a real store could not answer a simple question about its own orders, and the tools available were built for a market where customers pay before the parcel moves.
Where it came from
It started as an internal tool for one Pakistani Shopify store. The store was growing, the dashboard looked healthy, and the bank account did not agree. Working out why took a weekend with a courier portal, an export and a spreadsheet, and the answer was made of return freight, withholding tax and a handful of parcels nobody had been paid for.
That reconciliation was worth doing and nobody wanted to do it monthly forever. Kaarobar is that job, automated, and then extended into the operations that decide the outcome — booking, NDR, returns.
Why it is Pakistan-specific
Most profit-analytics apps assume the money arrives when the order is placed. That assumption is fine in a prepaid market and wrong here, and it is not a setting you can toggle — it changes what an order means. A COD-first ledger has to treat delivery as the earning event, model RTO as a first-class cost, know that 4% is withheld before you see the money, and understand that a courier remittance is a document to be matched rather than a bank line to be trusted.
Building that for Pakistan first is the whole product. Everything else follows from it.
How it is built
- Shown, not asserted. Every profit figure can be opened line by line, because a number you cannot audit is a number you will not act on.
- Missing data is named, never assumed. A product without a cost price is listed as missing rather than treated as free.
- Different failures are kept apart. When something cannot be shown, the app says whether that is your store's configuration or our bug — collapsing the two sends people to fix things that are not broken.
- Your data is yours. Every store's data is isolated at the database level, not merely filtered in the application.
