Integration
PostEx, from booking to remittance
PostEx was the first courier Kaarobar supported and is still the most heavily used. The integration covers the whole parcel life: booked, in transit, delivered or returned, and finally paid for.
What connecting PostEx gives you
- Book from the order. Push Shopify orders to PostEx in bulk; the consignment number lands back on the order.
- CN and loadsheet, printed from the same screen.
- Status without the portal. In transit, delivered, NDR and returned all flow back onto the order and into your views.
- Remittance matching. Every payout line is keyed to its shipment, so a short month names the parcels responsible instead of just being short.
- Settlement read from PostEx's own payment status, not guessed from a bank line.
Payout lines that are not sales
A PostEx payout can include a balance payment — money being returned to you rather than earned. Kaarobar classifies it as a recovery. Counted as revenue, as a spreadsheet naturally would, it overstates the month by exactly the amount you were paid back.
Setup
Paste your PostEx merchant API credentials into the app once. Nothing is copied by hand after that, and no CSV is downloaded from the portal.
Connect PostEx — install freeQuestions merchants actually ask
- Do I need a PostEx account already?
- Yes — Kaarobar connects your existing merchant account, it does not resell shipping. Your rates and your relationship with PostEx are unchanged.
- Can I use PostEx and another courier at the same time?
- Yes. Trax is also live, booking rules decide which order goes to which courier, and the scorecard compares them on your own parcels.
- What if I have been booking in the PostEx portal until now?
- Historical parcels still reconcile, because matching is done on the shipment ID that travels with the parcel rather than on how it was booked.
